Raspberry Cream Pie Smoothie Bowl

We wanted to create a recipe that brings out the tanginess of raspberries, just in time for their peak season. We’ve started substituting our tahini for nut butters in smoothies, and we love it -Tahini is anti inflammatory, and filled with antioxidants and so many nutrients. There are so many ways it can enhance the flavor and feel of a smoothie. You can use frozen or fresh raspberries for this recipe - if using fresh, add some ice instead of just liquid!

INGREDIENTS

 Smoothie:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • a splash of almond milk (or water) to get the blender going

Toppings:

  • Raspberries
  • Cashews
  • Shredded coconut

     

    Step 1:

    Blend all smoothie ingredients together in a high powered blender, adding more liquid if needed. Once it is at the consistency you desire, put smoothie in a bowl.

     

    Step 2:

    Add toppings of your choice and enjoy!
